Easy-to-Understand Results & Easy-to-Do Diet

You are unique, so are your symptoms and your results. Easy-to-understand lab results allow for a targeted and implementable elimination diet.

ONLY RELEVANT FOODS: The inFoods IBS panel includes 18 foods that were statistically proven (in multiple sets of patients) to be the most impactful for IBS patients. More than 90 foods had been screened to be included into the inFoods IBS panel but "only" 18 showed a remarkable difference to healthy controls (i.e healthy people also show an immune response to foods but do not develop symptoms).

CLEAR RESULT: inFoods IBS gives clear “Yes or No Results” which is less confusing and easy to understand. Each food in the panel has an individual cut-off value to differentiate between "normal" and “elevated” immune responses.

DIET GUIDANCE: Alongside the test result, you receive food fact sheets for your positive foods. Those fact sheets will help you to eliminate your positive foods and inform you about dishes and beverages containing the culprit food.

The targeted IBS specific food panel allows for a manageable elimination diet. Symptom relief is normally observed after 2-4 weeks of elimination of the positive foods. (Restriction and timing for reintroduction of foods should be coordinated with your healthcare provider.)

Clinical Study Overview

In the largest of its kind clinical study at the nation’s leading medical centers (Mayo Clinic, Harvard BID, University of Michigan and University of Texas Medical Center) 58% of IBS patients experienced at least a 30% improvement in abdominal pain when they stopped eating the foods identified as positive by the inFoods® IBS test.

The study was designed like a “medication study” with a real control arm. The clinical study divided patients into two groups. One group was given a diet based on their inFoods IBS test results, and the other group was given a fake or placebo diet to follow. None of the patients in either group (or their doctors) knew which group they were randomized to.

The study data is groundbreaking and was recognized with the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Presidential Award at the ACG World Congress in 2022.
